I chose the name peace and joy because of the fact that when emotional turmoil hit us, with proper care, support, guidance and information about what is happening and how to deal with it, we might be able to find peace even in the midst of chaos. When we are equipped to face challenges in order to shape or reshape our life at hand, joy arises.

Social Work counselling fees are often reimbursed under group benefits plan offered in the workplace (extended health plans) by insurance companies. If you are not covered in the group benefits package, you may approach the human resource department /employer to ask that social work counselling be added to your policy. A 24 hours notice is required to be able to cancel your appointment without charges. You will be charged 30 minutes of the counsellor’s fee if your notice of cancellation is later than 24 hours prior to the appointment time.

I am committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information as per the code of ethics and the Standards of Practice by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. The privacy and confidentiality policy will be discussed with you in the first session and you will be asked to sign the document stating that policies have been explained to you and that you understand them.
